Ceramic artist's work on exhibit

Armstrong's Gallery in Pomona will open its newest exhibit, "Jeff Whyman: Vitrified Existence" today at 150 E. Third St.

The exhibit will include works from the highly skilled ceramic artist and will run through Nov. 29.

The museum will also host two receptions/art walks that will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 8.

Armstrong's Gallery is open from 9a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. the second Saturday of each month to coincide with the city of Pomona's Art Walk.

The San Bernardino County Museum's education division will host a Moon Party at 7 tonight at the Asistencia, 26930 Barton Road, Redlands.

Participants will enjoy views of the first-quarter moon and Jupiter through telescopes set up by the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers with the goal to share views of these "distant worlds."

Admission is free.
